Conditions
of Booking and Cancellation Policy
To secure a
telephone or email booking we require a deposit of 30% by cheque
of the total holiday cost.
The booking
will be held for up to 3 days pending receipt of the deposit.
An acknowledgement
letter confirming dates and receipt of the deposit will be sent
to you once the deposit cheque has been cleared by our bank.
Final payment
of the balance for your holiday is due a minimum of 2 weeks before
your holiday start date. An acknowledgement letter confirming receipt
of the balance and giving you details regarding access and keys
will be sent to you once your cheque has been cleared by our bank.
If the booking
is made less than 2 weeks before your holiday start date the full
holiday charge will be payable prior to the issue of your booking
confirmation.
In the event
of you having to cancel your booking you should let us know as soon
as possible in writing or by email.
If we are successful
in reletting the cottage for the whole of the period of your booking
we will refund the whole of your holiday cost minus a handling charge
of £20.
If we can only
relet the cottage for a proportion of the period of your booking
we shall refund the monies that relate to that portion only less
the same handling charge.
If we are unable
to relet the cottage for the period of your booking all monies paid
by you whether by deposit or final payment shall be forfeited to
us.
The rental for
the cottage includes all linen including towels, cleaning charges,
heating and electricity.
You are asked
to arrive after 3pm on a Saturday afternoon and vacate the property
no later than 10.00am on your day of departure except where a prior
arrangement has been agreed.
The cottage
may be occupied by a maximum of 4 persons plus baby. The owner is
entitled to ask you to leave if this condition is broken.
You may not
bring any animals or pets into the cottage except in the case of
a guidedog for a registered blind person by prior arrangement.
For the benefit
of future guests using the cottage you are requested not to smoke
at all inside the cottage.
The owners or
our representatives shall be allowed access to the cottage at any
reasonable time during any holiday occupancy for maintenance purposes.
You should keep
the cottage, and all furniture, fixtures, fittings and equipment
in the same state of repair and general cleanliness as found at
the start of the holiday.
We would ask
you to report to us any breakages or damage to or in the property
before you leave the cottage and to reimburse us for the replacement
or repair cost of any item broken and /or the cost of any additional
or specialist cleaning.
All information
contained in the brochure and on our website at www.april-cottage-rothbury.com
is believed to be accurate and correct. In the event of a change
in circumstances regarding the cottage we will endeavour to inform
you prior to your holiday at which time you would have the opportunity
to review your booking.
